Well, we have seen a few movies lately. On Saturday and went to see the movie "The Possession". While I was buying the Diet Coke and popcorn (hey! if you get Diet Coke you can eat more fake butter on the popcorn) one of the girls behind the counter told Linda that it was very scary and if she needed to, she could leave it and go into one of the others.
It was good, but neither of us felt any desire to leave. I don't know what would have happened to that girl if she had originally seen "The Exorcist". We were not sorry that we went, but would not see it a second time.
Then on Monday I picked Resident Evil: Retribution. Mistake!!! We were both disappointed. We have seen the others and like them. Oh well, we get our Social Security this Wednesday so we won't miss the $10 ($5 each).
Tuesday Linda picked Trouble With The Curve. We both loved it. We will probably rent it from Red Box at a later time.
As you have noticed, I don't tell a lot about the movies because I don't want to ruin them for anyone.
On the way home, we stopped at Red Box and picked up "Battleship". We really enjoyed it. It did not do well in the theaters and was gone before we got to see it, but we still liked it.
As far as the movie theater goes, we still have "End of Watch", "House At The End Of The Street", "Dredd", and maybe "Lawless" to see.
Some may think that we spend a lot of money on going to the movies, but we enjoy it and can afford it. The good thing about Texas is there are no casinos. That would cost us far more and wouldn't have any left over popcorn or Diet Coke to take home.
That's it for the movies.
