Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

We had our Thanksgiving dinner at the clubhouse at Canyon Lake RV Resort in Mission Texas today.  The owners furnished the turkeys, dressing, mashed potatoes, and gravy plus lemonade, tea and coffee.  Each table got it's own turkey and we all brought side dishes for our own tables. 

Our table had hot rolls, relish plate, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce that Linda and I brought.  Then we had sweet potatoes, carrot salad, apple salad, Mandarin Salad, broccoli and rice casserole, apple pie, and two different cakes.  Everyone was stuffed.  As you look at the following pictures you will see plenty of wine at the different tables.

Linda and I enjoyed it.  We of course missed our family, but at least we were not alone.

Later, after everything was cleaned up Linda stayed home and I went back down and played a card game with 27 others called Card Blackout or something like that.  I won one game out of the 11 that we played at took home $7 dollars.  It took five dimes, five quarters, and one $1.00 bill to play so I profited by $4.25.  I also profited by the fellowship with others.  When I got home, Linda had made some mashed potatoes and gravy and we ate it with our left overs.

We plan on going out sometime tomorrow to get a toy or two for the toy collection for poor families that the park has.
