Our Winter Digs

We have arrived at our winter digs.

We left Kerrville, TX on Thursday morning the 25th of October.  We drove for a little over seven hours and spent the night at Country Estate Mobile Ranch just outside of Kingsville, Texas.  It was full hook ups which included cable for $22.00.  We only used the electric and cable.  It was not a great park, but was not a bad park in any manner.  Our site could have been a little more level.  Everything we used worked.

We at at CBs BBQ in Kingsville.  Am I sorry we ate there?  NO   Would we eat there again.  NO  The brisket was nice and juicy and tender but could have used more flavor.  Prices for what we got were we though a little high.

We got up the next morning and left about 7:00 am because it was suppose to rain.  I don't mind driving in the rain but hate hooking up in the rain.

We arrived and checked in at Canyon Lake Resort where we will be working this winter in Mission, Texas.  The lake is looking really good.  Last summer when we checked it out, it was very low.  They have remodeled the restrooms and they look great.  Everything we have seen so far looks really good and all we have met are friendly.

We will start out cleaning the park models before the people get here for the winter.  After that we are suppose to help with activities.  Heck, I am not sure what we will be doing, but we will do it the best we can and have fun doing it.  We will be here until April 15th of 2013 and then head for our gig in Missouri with a short stop over in St. Joseph, Missouri to see family and friends.

I will have pictures later.  We are both still tired.  That seven hour day was pretty tiring.

Precious, our rescue Shih Tzu is still doing really good.  We are almost trained.  LOL

Oh!  And what the heck.  We came south so last night had to turn the furnace on.  I had to put long pants and a jacket on this morning to take Precious to go potty.  There is something wrong with this picture.
