Work, Work, Work

I still haven't taken any pictures of our new park (Canyon Lake RV Resort) in Mission, Texas yet.  We have been to busy getting park models ready to be rented.  These are FEMA trailers that other folks have gutted and fixed up to make them habitable.  When we get to them, they are pretty clean so other than the mess we make, there isn't a lot of cleaning to do.  We put together dining room and bedroom furniture, put in the small appliances, linens, all kitchen utinsels, etc.  We are suppose to work 12 hours each per week for our lot and all utilities.

We basically set our own hours and consequently I worked 30 hours this first week while Linda worked 12.25 hours.  Later we can take off our excess time.  It is not too hard of work and kind of fun.  We have the use of a golf cart to haul everything around.  We have been really tired each night because we are not use to working this much but it is getting better.

Our little dog is doing real good.  She has a schedule.  At 6:00 a.m. each morning Dad (that's me) takes her for a walk.  Right before bed, Mom (That's Linda) takes her for a walk.  And several times a day we either take turns or both take her for a walk.  This way, she gets her exercise and takes care of business and we also get our exercise.  Just in case you were wondering, we take care of our business inside.  All those plastic WalMart bags sure do come in handy for picking up the business.

We are planning on going to Progreso, Mexico this morning.  We are needing to fill some prescriptions.  Of course We will do a little shopping but really don't have anything we are wanting.  I will of course have to eat something for one of the street vendors.  Yummy

I got the following video in the form of an email this morning  and thought it was so funny that I had to share it.  There is hope for our kids.  They are pretty smart.

  1. I like the new header photo. Interesting gig you guys found. Where have you been finding the jobs? Hubby and I are hoping to go full-time after we sell the house next spring/summer but are concerned about $$$. Enjoy TX. My folks used to winter in Kingsville and then Port Aransas and loved it.
