Tomorrow morning early as in 5:30 or 6:00 we leave on our trip to Grand Canyon and other things in that area. Our first stop will be Tucumcari, NM after our 11 plus hour drive. On our way to Tumcari we may or may not stop in Liberal, KS and see Dorthy's house and the "Yellow Brick Road".
The next morning we will head for Flagstaff, AZ where we will spend two nights. On our way to Flagstaff we plan on driving through the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. There is some beautiful rock formations on our way also.
We have not decided yet if we are going to drive to Sedona, AZ or night. Many parts of western movies have been filmed in that area.
We of course will be going to the Grand Canyon and have not decided about Bryce or any of the other canyons.
Our schedule from there is not set in stone yet. We know we are going to "The Four Corners", Monument Valley, and Mesa Verde. We think we are probably going to Colorado Springs for one or two nights.
It should be a very tiring but enjoyable trip. And the two grand kids we are taking will get to see things they have never seen before.
I plan on taking lots of pictures and will share some of them when I get back, or perhaps during our travels.
