2012 Vacation-Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico

This is the first post of or 2012 Vacation with our grand children.  Only Amaya and Jordan were able go go with us.  Kane had weight lifting and could not bet away.

We rented a Dodge Grand Caravan van for the trip.  It was a god send due to the hookups it had.  We had the ability to hook up the Xbox for games and movies and multiple cell phone chargers.  Instant babysitter children occupier.

We left at around 4:30 PM on Tuesday May 29th and spent the night in Wichita, Kansas.  I and the kids took pictures of the state signs each time we entered a new state.  We missed the Kansas sign on the way out and it will be the last one on our way back.  We never did get a picture of Missouri since our last day was long and tiring.

Wednesday morning we stopped in Liberal, Kansas and took some pictures at "Dorthy's" house and the other things from the movie The Wizzard of Oz.

And now for the camera hounds having fun.

What a bunch of munchkins.  (Jordan, Linda and Amaya)

Even 16 year olds like to swing.

Now all three of them are swinging.

I didn't know if I could get them out of Oz to continue with our vacation or not.

Now we will fly through the pan handle of Oklahoma and the very northern tip of Texas and into New Mexico..

I LOVE those 75 MPH speed limits.

We had a reservation in Tucumcari, New Mexico for Wednesday night, but when we saw the motel we kept going to Santa Rosa, New Mexico and stayed there after cancelling the Tucumcari motel.

The next picture is outside the restaurant where we ate supper.  I never knew Amaya could almost keep up with me on spicy salsa.  I know now.  WOW!
