We drove down to just north of Boerne, Texas to eat supper at PoPo's.
We had eaten there about three years ago and it was great. Tonight, no so great. I ordered the fried chicken with/side salad and mash potatoes and gravy. The salad was average and the chicken was just okay. The mashed potatoes and gravy were pretty good. Linda ordered the chicken gizzards, soup, and baked potato. Her soup was good, the gizzards were tender but could have been fried just a bit longer for more color. The baked potato was warm and hardly melted the butter. We probably won't go back while in this area this time. Maybe in a couple of years or so.
We saw "Savages" today. It had some good parts but a lot of slow parts. If you want to see it, don't pay full price. Go to the matinee.
Do I sound like a grumpy old man. I sure don't mean to.
