Since we are on duty in the Visitor Center this weekend we got up early and went to Twin Oaks this morning at 8:00 a.m. They had two types of turkey and two types of cheese on sale for $3.39 a pound. We bought a pound of each. They had a lot of other specials and we bought a few other items.
We were back to the refuge prior to 9:00 am to open up on time. Wow! What a busy day. We did not have a single visitor. I got half of a book read and then Linda came over and we played Yahtzee for six games. It is a hard gig but someone has to do it.
We just had a huge storm go north of us. There was a radio alert saying Chillicothe was getting 60 mph winds. They missed us and we just got some heavy rain.
Our full-time travels in the motor home since retiring. Come along and follow us on our travels.
