Leaving Time

Getting ready to leave and head for Texas.

We leave Monday morning heading to Kerrville, Texas.  We will arrive there on June 15th and think we will be there until the later part of October.  Then we go to Mission, Texas for the winter starting November 1.

So far I have taken the gas grill to the car wash and washed it and put away.  I have moved the small refrigerator into the space where the table was.  All we have left to do is put a few things away inside and I will pack the chairs and satelite into the car.  Put the awning up, attach our ladder to the ladder on the back of the motor home.  Hook up the car, unhook utilities and start the engine.

We are hoping to get somewhere in the area of Norman, Oklahoma the first night and Austin, Texas the next two nights.  While in the Austin area we will eat at The Salt Lick which has some of the best barbeque we have ever eaten.  Their brisket is to die for.  Then we will pull into our new location on the 15th.  Kerrville is in the hill country of Texas.

I will keep you updated on our travels.

  2. I'll think of your comment while eating some brisket. The burnt ends are good too.
